The
Sonoran desert by the sea of Cortez is the starting point where
the seawater evaporation process and salt crystallization begins.
Salina
de Lobos produces all year round, on a surface of more than 2,000
acres, first-quality salt that will be latter converted into more
than 20 different types of industrial or edible salt.

Sea
salt production begins by controlled pumping of seawater, its natural
evaporation and finally the salt crystallization in a very pure
state. Salt harvesting is accomplished by mechanical means. Afterwards,
salt is washed and stacked until dried.
Salt
is finally loaded to our processing plant where it is dried, ground,
screened, and, if required, added with iodine before being packed
to its final storage and shipment.
